Safari Sudan was founded in Sudan during 2007 by New Zealand and Norwegian associates. It is the sole provider of air tours and provides tailor made land tours of cultural and archaeological sites in northern Sudan.
Safari Sudan offers with its own aircraft, tours with an Antonov-2 bi-plane, and MI8 and MI2 helicopters. For the more adventurous, land tours are available in open or closed Volvo jeeps with the option to drive or be driven.
As the tours are guided by professional tour leaders with in depth knowledge of the archaeological sites and ethnic groups, clients are assured of gaining a sound appreciation of Sudan's long and complex history and modern day life.
Our pilots and crews have extensive experience in operating aircrafts in African conditions. Safari Sudan's airstrips are classified as private and have the necessary certification required by Civil Aviation rules and regulations. We provide a variety of camps - from light to military style base camp facilities which include power supply, walk in tents, toilet and shower facilities and full catering services.
